Thanksgiving lunch preparation was a breeze. We've been freezing half of most of the meals that we've been cooking from Granny's cookbook, so on Thanksgiving morning we just put our slightly thawed dishes into the oven and warmed some turkey (thank you Whole Foods). We had delicious food with no stress and we were able to spend that time on things we love to do, instead (like pilgrim crafts and turkey games with the kids).
(From Granny's cookbook: dressing, chicken and broccoli casserole, and sweet potato casserole. We also had Granny's red-velvet cake that Paul made the day before. He'll post that recipe later.)
This is a picture of our little boy's plate. Our portions were much larger! :)
